Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 - onion, chopped
  • 1 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 8 ounces fresh or canned mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 can ( 10 ounce ) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • cooked - noodles
  • fresh - parsley - chopped

How To Make ~ ground beef stroganoff ~

  • Step 1
    In a large skillet, over medium heat, melt the butter and add onions, garlic and mushrooms and cook until lightly browned. Add crumbled ground beef and cook only until red is gone. Add salt, pepper, flour and soup. Stir thoroughly and cook slowly for about 20 minutes. Stir in the sour cream, heat through and serve over prepared cooked noodles. Top with fresh parsley if desired. Note: if the sauce is too thick for your liking, just add a little milk or beef stock.
