Fettuccine With Broccoli
1 tspdried basil, or use fresh, chopped fine
1 tspdried parsley, or use fresh, chopped fine
2green onions, thinly sliced
2 clovegarlic, minced
1 - 2 Tbspdijon mustard depending on your taste
1/2 cbutter, room temperature
1 lbbroccoli, cut in florets
·salt and pepper to taste
1 lbfettuccine pasta
·diced tomato or cherry tomatoes, halved, for garnish, optional
How to Make Fettuccine With Broccoli
- Prepare pasta according to package directions.
- While pasta is cooking, place broccoli florets along with a little water in a microwavable container and microwave about 3-4 minutes, until tender crisp. Drain. Season with salt.
- Drain pasta. return to the pot. Gently stir in butter mixture and broccoli. (The heat from the pot and the pasta will melt the butter.) Adjust seasoning.
- Serve. Garnish with the tomatoes, if desired.
