easy beef stroganoff

I got this recipe from my mother. It is an absolute hit with my family, even with my extremely picky teenage son :) This is the original recipe, but I usually double it for my family of four so we can have leftovers :) Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 - medium onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 clove crushed garlic
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 can sliced mushrooms
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • - salt and pepper
  • - parsley

How To Make easy beef stroganoff

  • Step 1
    Brown ground beef, onion, butter and garlic in large frying pan.
  • Step 2
    Add flour, salt and pepper (to taste), mushrooms and soup. Simmer for about 10 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Stir in sour cream and parsley (to taste). Heat thoroughly.
  • Step 4
    Serve over hot cooked egg noodles or with bread to dip.
