1 lb. box linguine
1 medium
onion, chopped
1/4 c
butter, cubed
2 Tbsp
avocado or other oil
rounded tsp. garlic powder (or to taste)
3 Tbsp
14.5 oz. can chicken broth
1 c
claim juice
1/2 c
heavy cream
1/2 tsp
dried oregano
1/4 tsp
1/8 tsp
black pepper
1/8 tsp
cayenne pepper
2/3 c
parmesan cheese
2 or 3
6.5 oz. cans minced clams (depending on how much you like clams)

How to Make Creamy White Clam Sauce


  • 1Heat oil and butter in a skillet. Saute onions and clams, adding the garlic powder, oregano, salt, pepper, and cayenne. Cook onions until tender.
  • 2Add the flour and mix well, heating the flour for about 30 seconds to get rid of its taste. Pour in chicken broth, clam juice, and cream. Bring to a simmer and add Parmesan cheese. Simmer and stir until cheese is melted.
  • 3Served over cooked pasta. (Make sure to salt the cooking water for the pasta well.)
