I created this recipe for a new kind of casserole, combining a baked macaroni in alfredo sauce with skirt steaks.

Ingredients For alfredo baked macaroni with skirt steak

  • 1 3/4 c
    shredded Parmesan cheese, divided
  • 1 c
    crumbled blue cheese
  • 1 c
    crumbled cooked bacon
  • 2 1/2 c
    uncooked elbow macaroni
  • 1 Tbsp
    avocado oil
  • 1 lb
    fresh angus beef skirt steaks, cut into strips
  • 1 lg
    carrot, chopped
  • 2
    banana peppers, sliced
  • 1
    red onion, diced
  • 2 Tbsp
    steak seasoning
  • 2 Tbsp
    Dijon mustard
  • 3
    garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 Tbsp
    margarine
  • 1 jar
    roasted garlic alfredo sauce
  • 1 Tbsp
    steak sauce
  • 1 tsp
    dried oregano
  • 3 Tbsp
    crushed sun dried tomatoes
  • 1/2 tsp
    seasoned pepper
  • 2 c
    shredded colby jack cheese, divided

How To Make alfredo baked macaroni with skirt steak

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

    Coat a 11 x 7-inch baking dish with cooking spray. Lightly add 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese, blue cheese and crumbled bacon; mix well with a fork.

    Bring a large pot of water to boil. Place the macaroni in the pot and cook for 9 minutes, until al dente. Drain.

    Heat avocado oil in a large, deep skillet over medium heat. Add sliced skirt steaks, carrots, banana peppers and red onion. Saute for 5 minutes, or until the steaks are well done and the vegetables are tender.

    Stir in steak seasoning, Dijon mustard and minced garlic. Remove from heat.

    Heat margarine in medium saucepan over medium heat. Add alfredo sauce, steak sauce, dried oregano, crushed sun-dried tomatoes and seasoned pepper; stir and let it simmer for 10 minutes or until blended and thickened.

    Mix cooked macaroni, skirt steak mixture and 1 cup shredded colby jack cheese. Remove from heat.

    Pour into an prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Sprinkle with remaining shredded colby jack cheese.

    Bake for 30 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
