my aunt made this all the time I think she added a little chili powder to hers and I have done that too, but with enough paprika you don't need the chili powder.

I added the siracha (sorry I don't know how to spell it) which adds a nice heat to the goulash. I also added the Worcestershire sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb
    hamburger meat
  • 1/2
    onion
  • 2 clove
    garlic
  • 2 can(s)
    (5-6 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 c
    ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp
    siracha (sp)
  • 2 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp
    paprika
  • ·
    salt and pepper
  • 1 pkg
    bow tie pasta. regular sized

How to Make American Goulash

Step-by-Step

  1. Prepare pasta according to directions
  2. Brown hamburger meat along with the onion and garlic.
    add in the Worcestershire sauce, paprika and siracha cook for about a minute. pour in the two small cans of tomato sauce and the cup of ketchup then add a couple cans of water.
  3. Let simmer until the onions are done and add the drained pasta to the sauce. Mix well and serve with english peas, bread and butter.
