A great southern combination!! Of course, I use HOT sausage but, you can use mild.

Ingredients
- - 1 cup uncooked grits
- - 4 cups water
- - 1 box jiffy cornbread mix
- - 1 cup milk
- - 1 lb. jimmy dean bulk sausage
- - 1 cup shredded cheese
- - 1 stick butter
- - 4 eggs
- - 1 teaspoon salt
How To Make sausage grits casserole

Step 1In large saucepan, boil 4 cups water, add uncooked grits and add 1 teaspoon salt, turn off heat and stir well, to prevent lumps. Add butter, stir in. Let cool.

Step 2Saute sausage and drain.

Step 3In a bowl, beat eggs with milk, add all together with grits, cheese and cornbread mix, stir well. Put into 9x13 casserole dish.

Step 4Bake @ 425 for 30 minutes.
