I don't remember where I found this recipe but if you have never tried white chili all I can say is Winner, Winner Chicken Dinner

Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless chicken breast cut into cubes. for variety use 1/2 lb. chicken and 1/2 lb italian sweet sausage
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 2 cans (15-1/2 oz. each) great northern beans drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (14-1/2 oz.) chicken broth
  • 2 cans (4 oz.) chopped green chilies
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne
  • 1 cup (8 oz.) sour cream
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

How To Make reverse chili

  • Step 1
    In a large saucepan, saute the chicken, onion and garlic powder in oil until chicken is no longer pink. Add the beans, broth, chilies and seasonings. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 30 minutes
  • Step 2
    Remove from the heat; stir in sour cream and cream.
  • Step 3
    Serve with rice
