Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground bison
  • 1 egg
  • 1 medium onion, diced fine
  • 1/2 cup crumbled gorgonzola cheese
  • 1 cup bread crumbs, plain
  • 3 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper or to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt or to taste
  • 2 teaspoons basil, dried
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 bottle dry sauvignon blanc

How To Make one secret ingredient bison meatballs

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350F.
  • Step 2
    In a large bowl, add ground bison, egg, onion, crumbled gorgonzola cheese, parsley, bread crumbs, pepper, salt, basil, and Worcestershire sauce, and mix well with your hands.
  • Step 3
    Form into walnut sized balls and place on an oiled cookie tray, careful not to overcrowd and let the meatballs touch
  • Step 4
    Bake in oven 15 minutes.
  • Step 5
    Heat a chafing dish or an electric frying pan on the low setting. Put cooked meatballs into the dish. Pour half bottle of wine over the cooked meatballs to keep them moistened. Heat gently so they are warmed right through.
