This was one of my "go to" recipes when I was first married. It was on the Bisquik box but was a recipe called Impossible Turkey Pie. I made some changes to suit my taste and it has been a "go to" recipe of mine since 1979!

prep time 10 Min
cook time 50 Min
method Bake
yield 6-8 serving(s)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked ham, cubed
  • 2/3 cup diced green bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup diced sweet onion
  • 2 1/4 cups shredded swiss cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 3/4 cup all purpose baking mix (i use bisquik)
  • 3 large eggs

How To Make impossible ham pie

  • Step 1
Heat over to 375 degrees F. Coat a 10-inch deep dish pie plate with cooking spray. Set aside.
  • Step 2
In a large bowl, mix the ham, green pepper and onion. Transfer to prepared pie plate. Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over ham mixture.
  • Step 3
In a medium size bowl, combine the milk, baking mix and eggs. Beat with a wire whisk until foamy. Mixture will be lumpy.
  • Step 4
Carefully pour egg mixture over ingredients in pie plate.
  • Step 5
Bake for 45-50 minutes or until golden brown and knife inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean.
  • Step 6
Let stand for 5 minutes before cutting. Refrigerate any leftovers.
