My mother in law used to fix this all the time for her family. It was handed down from a Yugoslavian family. My wife used to fix it but when I retired I started cooking for the two of us. So I fix it now. We both love it.

Ingredients
- 16 ounces bacon
- 1 large cabbage
- 1 - onion chopped
- 4 - garlic cloves minced
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 - egg
- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon salt & pepper
How To Make haluski

Step 1Chop bacon and fry not crispy, fry onions till translucent, fry garlic but don't burn, then fry cabbage.

Step 2Mix flour, water, egg and some garlic salt if you wish till you have a sticky dough. Boil a big pot of water, break small pieces like lumps into boiling water. When they float they are done. Mix these lumps with cabbage, bacon, onions, garlic and your done.

Step 3Should serve 4 with left overs.
