garbanzo beans/drained

spanish chorizo/sliced thin
1/2 lb
ham/cut into cubes
1/2 c
onion
1/2
bell pepper
1/2 jar(s)
red pimentos

garlic cloves/smashed

can fire roasted tomatoes
1 c
dry cooking wine
salt/pepper

red pepper flakes ( optional)

olive oil

green olives

cilantro
1 sprig(s)

How to Make Garbanzo Stew

Step-by-Step

  • 1slice the chorizo and cube the ham ( cooking ham, not sweet)chop the onions, peppers and garlic.
  • 2In a large skillet with olive oil saute everything together...drain the garbanzo beans ( soaked in water and salt) and rinse well.
  • 3add to the skillet and combine...add the can of tomatoes and wine.
  • 4add salt and pepper to taste, add in the olives, cilantro and parsely...simmer on low for at least 30 mins, serve with rice.
