Ingredients

  • 2 cans garbanzo beans/drained
  • 1 - spanish chorizo/sliced thin
  • 1/2 pound ham/cut into cubes
  • 1/2 cup onion
  • 1/2 - bell pepper
  • 1/2 jar red pimentos
  • 3 - garlic cloves/smashed
  • 1 large can fire roasted tomatoes
  • 1 cup dry cooking wine
  • - salt/pepper
  • pinch red pepper flakes ( optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup green olives
  • 1 sprig cilantro
  • 1 sprig parsley

How To Make garbanzo stew

  • Step 1
    slice the chorizo and cube the ham ( cooking ham, not sweet)chop the onions, peppers and garlic.
  • Step 2
    In a large skillet with olive oil saute everything together...drain the garbanzo beans ( soaked in water and salt) and rinse well.
  • Step 3
    add to the skillet and combine...add the can of tomatoes and wine.
  • Step 4
    add salt and pepper to taste, add in the olives, cilantro and parsely...simmer on low for at least 30 mins, serve with rice.
