This is my fellow kitchen katerer's recipe.Ed loves to barbecue just about anything.He says these are delicious,he uses the same marinade for lamb chops as well.

Ingredients For ed's barbecue lamb shanks

2 1/2 lbs meaty lamb shanks

1 t. salt
- BARBECUE MARINADE

1 c tomato juice

1/2 c lemon juice

1/2 c dill pickle juice

1 large onion,finely chopped

1 t. coarse cracked black pepper

1 t. cumin
-
1 t. marjoram
-
1 t. salt
How To Make ed's barbecue lamb shanks

1Place shanks in a deep bowl.Combine marinade ingredients.Let stand 4 hours.Salt meat.Grill over slow coals,brushing with marinade and turning occasionally,about 1 hour or till tender.Don't overcook.
