This is a quick and easy recipe perfect for picnics and is a twist on the traditional chili dogs. Garnish with chopped onion, relish, mustard and your other favorite toppings and you have the great American taste of a chili dog without the mess!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound hot dogs (or cheese dogs), sliced
  • 1 can (15 ounces) no bean chili
  • 4 - hamburger buns
  • 1 medium sweet onion, diced
  • - sweet pickle relish
  • - brown mustard

How To Make chili dog "barbeque"

  • Step 1
    Place a 10-inch no-stick skillet over medium high heat. Add the hot dog slices and cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring often, until hot dog pieces start to brown.
  • Step 2
    Add the no-bean chili. Mix well and cook another 6-8 minutes or until heated through.
  • Step 3
    Serve over hamburger buns and garnish with diced onion, relish and mustard.
