These are great for a quick dinner! you can also use chicken or pork. I like to flash them under the broiler once they're assembled to give 'em some crunch

Ingredients

  • FOR THE FAJITAS
  • 8 ounces sirloin steak
  • 1 medium red bell pepper
  • 1 medium green bell pepper
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic salt
  • 2 tablespoons fresh squeezed lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, extra virgin
  • FOR THE SALSA
  • 1/2 cup pace picante sauce
  • 1/4 cup avocado, mashed
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 4 teaspoons fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 4, 10 in - flour tortillas

How To Make bunyan's deli steak fajitas

  • Step 1
    Cut the steak, peppers & onion into 3/8 inch strips
  • Step 2
    Dump them in a bowl with the chili powder, garlic salt & lime juice
  • Step 3
    Toss to completely coat the meat
  • Step 4
    Cover with saran wrap
  • Step 5
    Stash in the fridge overnight
  • Step 6
    Next day, saute this stuff in the olive oil until the veggies are just tender and the meat is about medium
  • Step 7
    Take it off the stove & drain the liquid
  • Step 8
    Dump the sour cream, picante sauce, avocado & cilantro in a bowl
  • Step 9
    Stir thoroughly to combine
  • Step 10
    Heat the tortillas just until warm
  • Step 11
    Spread 1/4 cup of the salsa on each tortilla
  • Step 12
    Add equal amounts of the meat mixture to each tortilla
  • Step 13
    Roll 'em up
  • Step 14
    Serve immediately, BUEN APETITO!!
