beans with little smokies (smoked sausages)
I am not a big fan of navy beans, but when I cook them this way I love them. They are easy to make and could be cooked in a slow cooker as well.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups navy beans, dry (or your favorite beans)
- 1 1/2 tablespoons onion flakes, dehydrated
- 1 teaspoon beef stock
- 1 can tomato sauce 8 oz.
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- 3 cups water
- 1/2 package little smokies sausages
How To Make beans with little smokies (smoked sausages)

Step 1Slice the smokies into 4 or 5 pieces each, set aside. In a saucepan over medium high heat add all ingredients except sausages, bring to the boil. Reduce heat, cover and let simmer for about an hour.

Step 2Add the sausages, add water if needed, cover and let simmer for another hour or till beans are very tender and sauce is thickened. If cooking in a slow cooker; then just add all ingredients, set on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours.

Step 3Serve with whit rice.
