OK, this sounds a bit odd, but I can assure you it is delicious. And quick and easy! This family recipe goes back more than 50 years. I make it as a main meal in the winter and as a side dish to grilling in the summer. It goes perfect with burgers and hot dogs. All ingredients can be adjusted according to preference. Add more or less of each as desire. Should you decide to make a batch for a "bring a dish" affair, you may need to have your family take their portion first to get things going. But once the guests have sampled it, you will not be taking any back home.
