This recipe is taken from a 1978 "Better Homes and Garden" Cookbook. I have been making this recipe for years My son loves it and so does my husband. We especially like the "quick kmushroom sauce" which is so easy and delicious. This meatloaf recipe is our favorite one. So ladies and gentlemen I really hope you will try it and love it too!

Ingredients
- - 1 beaten egg
- - 1/3 cup of milk
- - 1/3 cup dry bread crumbs
- - 3 tbsp finely chopped green onion
- - 3 tbsp snipped parsley ( i use 2tbsp of dried )
- - 3/4 tsp salt (i use 1/2 tsp )
- - 3/4 tsp worchestershire sauce
- - 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
- - dash of pepper
- - 11/2 pounds ground beef
- - quick mushroom sauce;
- - one 101/2oz can of cream of mushroom soup
- - 1 cup dairy sour cream
How To Make mushroom-sauced loaf

Step 1Preheat oven to 350F (175C)

Step 2In a large bowl combine the first 9 ingredients

Step 3Add beef and mix well

Step 4Pat mixture into an 81/2X41/2X21/2-inch loaf dish

Step 5Bake at 350F (175C) for 1hr.15 minutes

Step 6For the Quick Mushroom Sauce"

Step 7Stir 1 cup of dairy sour cream into one 101/2 oz. tin of cream of mushroom soup. Heat through

Step 8Serve with meatloaf
