I've cooked it here without bacon but you can add bacon to the burger mixture or layered like the onions or wrapped around while baking. I should have taken a picture before adding gravy but was hungry! lol

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds hamburger or can use ground turkey
  • 2 large onions
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 8 slices cheese, any kind you like
  • 2 bags meatloaf seasoning mix. or use your own
  • 2 cups fine bread crumbs

How To Make cheeseburger meatloaf

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven at 350
  • Step 2
    Slice onions thin and saute. In a large mixing bowl, mix meat, seasoning and bread crumbs well. Pour in shredded cheese mixture, mix well. (This is where you could add cooked bacon bits)
  • Step 3
    Divide mixture in two. Place one half in pan and shape.
  • Step 4
    Take sauteed onions and layer on top of meatloaf. Layer 8 slices of cheese on top of onions. (This is where you could add cooked strips of bacon) Top with second half of hamburger mixture. (This is where you could wrap meatloaf with uncooked bacon) Blending down sides to seal.
  • Step 5
    Place in oven Cook 1 hour 45 minutes.
