salmon rice
This is a simple but delicious recipe that I came up with one evening when I was trying to figure out how to make plain old rice not so plain. I wanted something different, something I hadn't had before.

Ingredients
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup long grain rice; i prefer zataran's
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 can (5 ounce can) skinless, boneless pink salmon
- - garlic powder; to taste
- 1 teaspoon chives, dried
- - lemon juice; to taste
- - butter or margerine
How To Make salmon rice

Step 1Bring to boil, water and salt

Step 2Add rice, stir until boiling again, then lower heat to simmer, cover. Let simmer for 15 minutes.

Step 3Add butter or margerine, and salmon, (not drained), garlic powder, chives and lemon juice.Stir well and let simmer for another 5 minutes. Serve hot.
