I love using lemon juice, I always add extra in every recipe because I just like it. So I also add a little bit of lemon juice to the salmon after I pour the sauce over it right before I wrap it up in the tin foil. But it's not necessary :)

prep time 15 Min
cook time 45 Min
method Bake
yield 5-8 serving(s)

Ingredients

  • 1/2 tablespoon molasses
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon honey (i used sunflower honey)
  • 1 cup maple syrup
  • 1 - salmon
  • 1 tablespoon alcohol (i had a wine cooler on hand so that's what i used. the alcohol is just so the ingredients mix together easier)

How To Make lemon maple salmon

  • Step 1
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Combine all ingredients (except salmon) and mix thoroughly.
  • Step 2
Cut the salmon into fillets (if not already cut). Cut square sheets of tin foil (enough for each of the fillets) and place each fillet onto a sheet of foil. Pour the sauce onto the fillet and wrap the salmon in the tin foil.
  • Step 3
Bake for 35-45 minutes or until salmon is flaky.
  • Step 4
When done, pour the juices left in the foil over the top of the salmon and serve.
