This is a great recipe for tuna patties. It can be made healthier by eliminating the sauce and topped with fresh veggies. It is a great high protein sandwich that is tasty also.

Ingredients

  • TUNA PATTIES
  • 2 large cans tuna drained well
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon each fresh thyme and rosemary minced
  • 1 teaspoon each salt, garlic powder, and turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • SAUCE
  • 1 cup miracle whip
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon cajun seasoning
  • TOPPINGS
  • - lettuce, tomato, cheese, pickles
  • - bread or buns of choice

How To Make herbed tuna patties

  • Step 1
    Drain the tuna well pushing out as much moisture as you can. Mix in the ingredients for the patties and shape into 4 patties. Place on sprayed baking sheet and bake at 350 for 20 to 30 minutes depending on the thickness of the patties.
  • Step 2
    Mix the ingredients together for the sauce and set in refrigerator for flavors to mingle.
  • Step 3
    Serve the tuna patties with sauce on top and bread and toppings of choice
