The avocado & mango salsa, a cross between a sauce and a salad, not only complements the flavor of tuna, but it also looks so great against the brownish color of the fish.

Ingredients

  • TUNA
  • 4 - tuna loin steaks
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • - salt and fresh ground black pepper
  • SALSA
  • 4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 - avocado
  • 6 - cherry tomatoes (cut in half)
  • 1 - mango, diced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • - salt and fresh ground black pepper

How To Make char grilled tuna steak with avocado & mango salsa

  • Step 1
    Halve the avocado, remove the stone, peel off the skin and dice into small pieces. Transfer them to a bowl and place all the remaining ingredients, cherry tomatoes, mango, lime juice, olive oil and finally season with salt and pepper and place the bowl in the refrigerator for 30 minutes before serving, this will help the flavors to develop.
  • Step 2
    Meanwhile heat a griddle pan or barbeque until hot. Brush the tuna steaks with olive oil on both sides and season with salt and pepper. Cook on the grill for 1 to 2 minutes on each side for medium or cook to your liking.
  • Step 3
    When tuna are ready transfer them onto warm serving plates and pour over the mixture.
