baked macaroni and cheese with tuna
This is my idea of comfort food. I love Mac and Cheese. Paring it with tuna gives me a complete Main course. If you like Tuna, and Mac and cheese. You will love this casserole with the buttery crumb topping.

Ingredients
- 8 ounces macaroni elbows(1/2 box)
- TUNA
- 2 cans 5 ounce can white tuna in water
- 2 - stalk celery finely chopped
- 4 tablespoons chopped sweet onion
- 1 tablespoon dried parsley
- 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 - pinch of black pepper and salt
- 1/4 teaspoon dill weed
- 1 cup corn
- 1 cup frozen peas cooked and drained if desired
- SAUCE
- 1 2/3 cups whole milk
- 10 ounces about 10 ounces cubed vermont sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- - salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 tablespoons butter
- CRUMB TOPPING
- 1/2 - sleeve ritz cracker
- 2 tablespoons butter melted
- 4 tablespoons parmesan cheese
How To Make baked macaroni and cheese with tuna

Step 1Cook macaroni according to directions on box but Aldente. Some firmness

Step 2While macaroni is cooking combine all ingredients for tuna in a bowl. Mix well. Drain macaroni and stir in to tuna mixture. Place in buttered casserole dish.

Step 3In a pan melt 2 tablespoons butter. Heat until melted. Add the flour and stir until thickened. Add the milk and the cheese, nutmeg, salt and pepper. Cook and stir until cheese is melted and bubbly.

Step 4Pour cheese mixture over macaroni. Stir from bottom to top to combine.

Step 5Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in microwave. Grind crackers in food processor. Mix with butter, and parmesan cheese. Sprinkle on top of casserole. Bake at 350 for about 45 minutes, pr until top is golden brown.
