This quick 'n easy recipe is from my 1976 Campbell Soup Cookbook. You can use either chicken, turkey, or ham as the main meat in this delicious recipe.

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup - chopped onion
- 2 tablesp. - chopped, green bell peppers
- 2 tablesp. - butter or margarine
- 1 can - (10.75 oz.) cream of chicken or mushroom soup
- 1/3 to 1/2 - cup of milk
- 1-1/2 cups - cubed, cooked turkey, chicken, or ham
- 2 tablesp. - diced, pimiento
- Dash - of black pepper
- Toasted - bread
How To Make turkey a la king

Step 1Cook onion and green peppers in butter until tender.

Step 2Blend in the soup and milk.

Step 3Add the turkey (or chicken, or ham) the pimiento, and the black pepper.

Step 4Heat slowly; stir often.

Step 5Serve over slices of toasted bread.

Step 6Yields: About 2-1/2 cups.
