  • 3 - 4 lb
    skin on chicken thighs - could use a combination as well
  • 1 c
  • 1 Tbsp
    garlic powder & poultry seasoning, black pepper
  • 1/2 Tbsp
    each - cayenne, onion powder, kosher salt & paprika
  • season
    salt for sprinkling before placing chicken in oven - optional
  • 1 stick

How to Make ~ Tender Flavorful Chicken ~ Oven Baked


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degree F.

    Mix spices together, except for seasoning salt.
  2. Place butter in a 9 x 13 baking dish. Place in preheated oven to melt.
  3. Wash chicken and season evenly with 1/2 the spice mix. Save the remainder to add to flour. Season under the skin as well.
  4. Add remaining seasoning to the flour in a plastic bag. Shake well to mix.
  5. Place one or 2 pieces of chicken at a time into the bag and evenly coat.

    Place floured chicken into the baking dish.

    Sprinkle with some season salt and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes to 1 hour and 30 minutes. You want the skin crispy and the chicken good and tender.
  6. Plate and enjoy!
