My family loves this lightly breaded, flavorful chicken. It's fall of the bone good! Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 3 - 4 pounds skin on chicken thighs - could use a combination as well
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder & poultry seasoning, black pepper
  • 1/2 tablespoon each - cayenne, onion powder, kosher salt & paprika
  • season - salt for sprinkling before placing chicken in oven - optional
  • 1 stick butter

How To Make ~ tender flavorful chicken ~ oven baked

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degree F. Mix spices together, except for seasoning salt.
  • Step 2
    Place butter in a 9 x 13 baking dish. Place in preheated oven to melt.
  • Step 3
    Wash chicken and season evenly with 1/2 the spice mix. Save the remainder to add to flour. Season under the skin as well.
  • Step 4
    Add remaining seasoning to the flour in a plastic bag. Shake well to mix.
  • Step 5
    Place one or 2 pieces of chicken at a time into the bag and evenly coat. Place floured chicken into the baking dish. Sprinkle with some season salt and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes to 1 hour and 30 minutes. You want the skin crispy and the chicken good and tender.
  • Step 6
    Plate and enjoy!
