I found this recipe in an old cookbook, it calls for Royal gelatin but Jello brand probably works just as well...Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 box 3oz. royal lemon gelatin
  • 3 tablespoons butter,melted
  • 2 teaspoons garlic salt
  • 3 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 2 - boneless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup almonds, slivered

How To Make royal lemon chicken

  • Step 1
    In an 81/2 x 11 inch baking dish, stir together the lemon gelatin, butter,garlic salt and mustard.
  • Step 2
    Cut breasts into 4 to 6 pieces; arrange chicken in a single layer in the gelatin mixture, turning over to coat both sides.
  • Step 3
    Place almond slivers on each chicken piece. Bake in 350* oven (covered) for 30 minutes, basting once.
  • Step 4
    Remove cover; baste again, then bake an additional 15 minutes more or until golden brown.. I serve mine on a bed of rice, with a lettuce salad... Enjoy!
