Teriyaki Chicken is a Japanese recipe involving chicken drumsticks, soy sauce, and sugar. This dish is simply made by marinating chicken in Teriyaki sauce and roast until completely cooked. The Teriyaki sauce is made by combining soy sauce and sugar.

sweet rice wine
2 Tbsp
brown sugar

How to Make Roast Teriyaki Chicken


  • 1Pour all the Teriyaki Sauce ingredients in a pan. Stir the mixture well. Put the pan on low heat and simmer for a couple of minutes. Remove from the heat and cool the mixture. Store the sauce in the fridge. Marinate the chicken legs in the prepared teriyaki sauce for 30 - 60 minutes.
  • 2Preheat the oven to 375F. Poke the chicken leg's skin with a fork and sprinkle some salt and pepper over them.
  • 3Roast the legs in the pre-heated oven and reduce heat to 350F. Roast for 30 minutes, glazing more teriyaki sauce from time to time.Turn the chicken legs over to roast both sides. Roast for an other 15 minutes.
