Ingredients

  • 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken (breasts, thighs or a combination)
  • 12 ounces bottle of barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 2 teaspoons chicken bouillon
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons dried onion flakes or ¼ yellow onion, minced
  • 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce

How To Make pulled bbq chicken recipe

  • Step 1
    1.Rinse the chicken under cool water, trim and set aside. Pour barbecue sauce, chicken broth, bouillon, garlic powder, onion and Worcestershire sauce into the slow cooker then stir to combine.
  • Step 2
    2.Add chicken to the sauce, cover and cook on high for 4 hours or on low for 8 hours. Just before serving, use a wooden spoon to break it into shreds. Once the chicken is shredded, allow it to cook in the sauce until thickened. Serve as-is or with a little extra barbecue sauce on the side. Enjoy!
