Bet you didn't think I could speak Italian, hey?? It's the good old chicken cacciatore, but I was trying to make it real Italian. Enjoy--we do!

Ingredients

1/4 c
olive oil
1 tsp
salt
1/8 tsp

8-oz tomato sauce

dry white or red wine

How to Make Polo ala Cacciatore

Step-by-Step

  • 1Heat oil in a large saucepan. Sprinkle salt and pepper over chicken. Brown on both sides in oil.
  • 2Remove chicken from frying pan. Add garlic and onions and saute until golden.
  • 3Place mushrooms and green pepper in a large baking dish. Arrange chicken on top of mushrooms and green pepper.
  • 4Combine tomato sauce, wine, broth and herbs. Pour over chicken. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour.
