I found this recipe in a very old cookbook. I tried it and it's a good company recipe, hence the name party chicken. Serve with rice.

Ingredients
- 3 - roasting chickens, cut in parts
- - salt and paprika to taste
- 1/4 pound butter
- 2 pounds large onions, sliced
- 3 cups dark brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons plus 1 tsp.soy sauce
- 1 cup sliced almonds
- 2 tablespoons butter
How To Make party chicken

Step 1Sprinkle skin side of chicken parts with salt and paprika and broil on skin side only until nicely browned.

Step 2Saute onion slices in 1/4 pound butter until soft. Add brown sugar, stirring over medium heat until melted. Add soy sauce and cook gently for 1 minute, stirring.

Step 3Place chicken in single layer, skin side up, in a large shallow baking pan. Spoon sauce with onions over chicken, cover tightly with aluminum foil and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

Step 4When ready to serve, top with almonds which have been sauteed in 2 tbsp. butter.
