Ingredients

  • 3 teaspoons frozen orange juice concentrate
  • 2 teaspoons tamari
  • 1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast cut into thin strips
  • 1/4 pound broccoli florets
  • 2 medium carrots cut into 1 inch matchsticks
  • 1 small white onion cut into 16 wedges
  • 1 can sliced water chestnuts, drained
  • 1 can mandarin orange segments, drained
  • 4 teaspoons sliced almonds

How To Make mandarin chicken stir-fry

  • Step 1
    In a small bowl whisk together orange juice concentrate, tamari, granulated garlic and cornstarch, set aside.
  • Step 2
    Heat oil in a large skilled over medium high heat.
  • Step 3
    Add chicken strips and stir fry for 3 minutes.
  • Step 4
    Add onion, broccoli, carrots and water chestnuts. Stir fry for 6 minutes.
  • Step 5
    Add sauce, cook 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Step 6
    Remove from heat-gently stir in mandarin segments.
  • Step 7
    Serve over hot rice or lo mein noodles, top with almond slices.
