Ingredients

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken - sliced 1/2 - 1 in thick pieces
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil - divided
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup plus 1 tsp honey
  • 3 ounces soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes ( optional )
  • small can water chestnuts, drained
  • 1 can baby corn, drained
  • 2 packages stir fry vegetables
  • 2 tablespoons corn starch
  • 3 tablespoons water

How To Make honey - garlic - chicken stir fry

  • Step 1
    In a small bowl combine honey, soy sauce,garlic powder, salt and pepper.
  • Step 2
    In a large skillet, stir fry chicken and garlic in 2 tablespoons of oil. When chicken is halfway cooked; add the sauce. Continue cooking until the chicken is completely cooked. Add pepper flakes. Pour into dish and keep warm.
  • Step 3
    In the same skillet, stir fry the vegetables in remaining oil for 4 - 5 minutes until heated through.
  • Step 4
    Add the chicken and sauce, and mix well.
  • Step 5
    Combine corn starch and water until smooth; stir into chicken mixture. Bring to a boil, cook and stir for 1 minute, or until thickened.
  • Step 6
    Serve over rice.
