I served these for the first time last weekend. HUGE success! I combined a few different recipes to suit my husband's taste buds. I served each guest with a warm wet washcloth as the sauce is sticky buy oh so good. Hope you enjoy.

Ingredients

  • BRINE

  • 1/2 c
    kosher salt
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • ·
    water
  • BBQ SAUCE

  • 1 c
    bbq sauce
  • 1/2 c
    honey
  • 2 clove
    garlic, crushed
  • 1 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • CHICKEN WINGS

  • 4 lb
    split chicken wings, thawed
  • ·
    garlic powder
  • ·
    onion powder
  • ·
    salt
  • ·
    pepper

How to Make Honey BBQ Wings

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine kosher salt and sugar in water. Mix to dissolve. Place cleaned wings in brine. Brine for 2 hours. Rinse. Pat each wing dry.
  2. Prepare baking sheet with aluminum foil. Spray with nonstick cooking spray. Place dry wings on foil. Sprinkle with seasonings. Spray with nonstick cooking spray. Bake in 400 degree oven for 40 - 60 minutes flipping half way through.
  3. While wings are roasting, combine BBQ sauce ingredients in saucepan on stovetop. Cook until reduced and thick.
  4. When wings are done, remove from baking sheet and place in a clean baking pan. Pour sauce over wings rolling for full coverage.
  5. Finish wings by browning on grill. Serve with remaining sauce if desired.
