This makes a little more than a quart of barbecue sauce. It is so good, I just never almost never use store-bought barbecue sauce anymore.

  • 3 c
  • 1/2 c
    firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 c
  • 1/2 c
  • 1/4 c
    prepared mustard
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 1 Tbsp
    kitchen bouquet browning and seasoning sauce
  • 2 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1 pinch
    red pepper
  • 1 pinch
    black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp
    garlic salt

How to Make Homemade Barbecue Sauce


  1. Combine all ingredients in medium sauce pan, cook over medium heat for 10 minutes or until thickened and heated through. Brush onto chicken, ribs, beef or serve as a dip.
