easy chicken cordon bleu
This is an old recipe - one of which I relied on in my early bachelor days. I would invite a date to my home for dinner. They were probably expecting frozen pizza or oatmeal and were pleasantly surprised. Easy and delicious recipe.

Ingredients
- 4 - half chicken breasts
- 4 slices ham (i like black forest ham)
- 4 slices cheese (swiss guyere is best)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 bunch chopped parsley
How To Make easy chicken cordon bleu

Step 1Flatten the chicken breasts (between sheets of wax paper or clear wrap) with the flat side of a knife or with a bottle.

Step 2Top each breast with the cheese and then the ham. Secure with toothpicks.

Step 3In Skillet, brown chicken in the butter (chicken side down) for approximately 10 minutes.

Step 4Stir in soup and the milk. Cover and cook over low heat for 20 minutes. Stir occasionally.

Step 5Plate and top with the chopped parsley.
