Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 c
    chicken broth
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/4 c
    cornstarch
  • 2 Tbsp
    rice vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp
    sweet chili sauce
  • 2 Tbsp
    honey
  • 2 tsp
    dark sesame oil
  • 1 1/2 lb
    skinned and boned chicken breasts, cut into 1" pieces
  • 2 c
    sugar snap peas
  • 2 c
    crinkle-cut carrots
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    sesame seeds, toasted
  • ·
    hot cooked rice
  • ·
    garnish: chopped green onions

How to Make Crock-Pot Sesame Chicken

Step-by-Step

  1. Whisk together first 8 ingredients in a 4 quart slow cooker. Stir in chicken. Cover and cook on HIGH for 2.5 hours or until chicken is done, stirring after 1.5 hours.
  2. Steam sugar snap peas and carrots. Stir vegetable mixture and sesame seeds into slow cooker. Serve over hot cooked rice. Garnish with chopped green onions, if desired.
