Much easier than frying chicken. I've been making it this way for quite a while and everyone in the family seems to love it! Or they're lying to me so I don't quit cooking lol!

    chicken breasts (or leg quarters)
  • 1
  • 1 c
    instant mashed potatoes
  • dash(es)
    garlic powder
  • 1/4 c
  • 2 Tbsp

How to Make Crisp coated baked chicken


  1. Wash chicken and pat dry.
  2. Beat egg and milk in a bowl.
  3. Mix flakes and garlic powder in another bowl.
  4. Melt butter in shallow baking pan (I use 9 x 13).
  5. Roll chicken in egg mixture, then potato mixture.
  6. Roll coated chicken in butter. Place skin side up in pan, bake at 400 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes.
