creamy chicken rice and mushrooms

I cook this in a large 7 qt crock pot. If you are using a smaller one just cut the recipe down a bit.

Ingredients

  • 2-3 large chicken, boneless and skinless breast
  • 1 can 26 oz. family size can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can 26 oz. can cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 boxes 32 oz. boxes chicken broth
  • 3 cups instant rice
  • 2 cans 6.5 oz cans of mushrooms (drained)
  • 1 tablespoon dried celery flakes ( more or less )
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons course ground black pepper ( or to your taste)

How To Make creamy chicken rice and mushrooms

  • Step 1
    In slow cooker add chicken, soup,chicken broth, mushrooms,celery flakes and pepper. Cook on high for 5-6 hours or until chicken is thoroughly cooked and can be easily shredded with a fork.
  • Step 2
    Remove chicken and shred. Place chicken back in crock pot.
  • Step 3
    Turn off crock pot and add rice. Allow to sit for 1/2 an hour or until rice is cooked. Serve and enjoy.
