I had some leftover cooked rice and some leftover cooked chicken. Searching the cupboard I found a box of Spanish Rice-a-Roni that needed to be used....thus this recipe

Ingredients
- 1 box rice-a-roni spanish rice
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cups water
- 16 ounces tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon minced dried onion
- 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce (or to taste)
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 2 cups cooked chicken, cut into bite size pieces
How To Make chicken tomato rice

Step 1Brown Rice-a-Roni in large skillet in butter as directed on the box.

Step 2Add seasoning packet, water, dried onion, sugar, tomato sauce, hot sauce, rice, chicken. Mix thoroughly and place lid on skillet. Let it simmer for 15 minutes until piping hot and serve with a salad or vegetables for a great meal.
