chicken surprise
This recipe was named accidentally, when DH asked what was for dinner. I knew it was going to be chicken, but that was about it. So the name "Chicken Suprise" was my stall. When we tasted it, we were surprised how well it worked. So here is my humble creation.

- 4 - boneless chicken breasts
- 1 jar tostitos creamy spinach dip
- - salt and pepper
- - garlic powder
- - cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1 cup panko bread crumbs
How To Make chicken surprise
-
Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a large baking sheet (or 2-9 x 13 pans) with cooking spray.
-
Step 2After rinsing chicken, dry them off with paper towels. Cut chicken breasts in half, lengthwise, and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
-
Step 3Brush or spoon the spinach dip liberally over the top of each chicken strip. Carefully press the entire spinach-covered surface of the chicken into the bread crumbs. Arrange the chicken pieces crumb-side up in the pan, leaving a bit of room between them.
-
Step 4Bake chicken for 30-45 minutes, depending upon the size of your chicken, until thermometer reads 170 degrees.
