Ingredients
- 16 ounces noodles, cooked al dente
- 2 cups cooked, cubed chicken
- 4 tablespoons each - butter & flour
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- salt - & pepper
- 3 teaspoons chicken buillon
- 2 cups milk
- 2 1/2 cups chicken broth
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 3/4 cup shredded, white cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- TOPPING - OPTIONAL ~ I DIDN'T ADD THIS TIME
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/3 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
How To Make chicken ~n~ noodle casserole

Step 1Cook your noodles, a little less than package directions state, as they will cook more in oven. Drain and set aside.

Step 2In a large skillet, over medium heat, melt butter and add garlic & onions - stir occasionally. Cook until onions become translucent.

Step 3Add flour, stir and cook for 1 minute.

Step 4Whisk in the milk & chicken broth. Bring to a boil, then simmer until thickens. Stir in salt & pepper and buillon. Preheat oven to 350 degree F.

Step 5Remove from heat. In a large bowl, add noodles, sauce, sour cream, cheese, chicken and parsley. Stir well.

Step 6Pour into a 9 x 13 greased baking dish. If using topping, mix the 3 ingredients together and sprinkle evenly over the top of casserole.

Step 7If not using topping, cover and bake for 30 - 35 minutes. Let set a few minutes, before serving. If using topping, bake covered for 25 minutes, then remove cover and bake an additional 10 - 15 minutes, or until top is golden.
