1In a large pot, season chicken w/salt & garlic powder. Brown chicken w/skin on in butter & oil in med. - med. high heat 20-25 minutes. The skin protects the meat as you are browning it. You can remove it after you are done browning it.
2Squeeze 1/2 a lemon (or pour 1 Tbs. of juice) on browned chicken. Add soup, sour cream and stir, (you can put 1/2 water or 1/2 milk instead of all sour cream if you like).
3* Add 2 cups of water IF you are going to put rice in it, (I have also added a can of drained french style green beans at times).
4Bake in pre-heated 350-375 degree oven for 1 hr. or until chicken is done.
