chicken fried chicken & gravy
Comfort food at its finest. I serve this with mashed potatoes, and a salad. Just like Sunday dinners my mom use to make.

Ingredients
- 2 large chicken breast pounded to 1/2 inch thick
- 2/3 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon each salt and garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 4 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
- 1 cup panko bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 large egg
- - canola or vegetable oil for frying
- 1 medium onion sliced
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 cup chicken stock
- - salt and pepper to taste
How To Make chicken fried chicken & gravy

Step 1Pound out chicken breast.

Step 2Mix flour, salt, garlic powder and pepper in one dish. Place egg in another dish and beat it. Mix panko bread crumbs and pamesan cheese in a third dish

Step 3Dredge chicken in flour mixture then egg then panko. Fry in hot oil on stove until deep brown on both sides. Remove from pan and place in baking pan and put in 400 degree oven while making gravy.

Step 4Add onion and garlic to oil in frying pan and cook until onions are caramelized. Deglaze the pan with the wine and let almost all evaporate off. Add butter to pan with flour and make a roux.

Step 5Slowly add cream and chicken stock. Cook until thickened and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Step 6Remove chicken breast from oven and make sure it is not pink inside. Serve with gravy.
