This is a recipe from my mom. I'm sure there are probably lots of this type of recipe out there. Still, it's good and better yet, it's easy.

Ingredients

1/2 c
milk (1 or 2%)
1 c
rice, instant white or brown
1/2 pkg
dry onion soup mix
1 can(s)
cream of mushroom soup
1 can(s)
cream of chicken soup
4-8
chicken pieces
salt

How to Make Chicken and Rice Casserole

Step-by-Step

  • 1Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.
  • 2In a large bowl, mix the soups, milk, and rice.
  • 3Pour into an 8x12 casserole dish.
  • 4Place lightly salted chicken pieces on top of the rice.
  • 5Sprinkle the dry onion soup mix over the top of the chicken pieces.
  • 6Cover the casserole dish with aluminum foil.
  • 7Bake for one hour.
  • 8Uncover the casserole and bake for another ten minutes.
