My whole family loves Buffalo wings, and they particularly love my Buffalo chicken sandwiches. I add a home made blue cheese dressing when serving or daughter prefers Ranch...that is entirely up to you if you use... Delicious!

prep time 10 Min
cook time 7 Hr
method Slow Cooker Crock Pot
yield 8 - 10

Ingredients

  • 6 -7 - boneless, skinless chicken breasts or a combination of breasts and thighs ( i used 3 breast and 4 large thighs)
  • 1 package ranch salad dressing mix
  • 17 ounces franks buffalo wing sauce
  • buns - for serving
  • BLUE CHEESE DRESSING
  • 1/2 cup blue cheese crumbles
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tablespoon sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1/2 teaspoon each - salt & pepper
  • I'VE ALSO MADE THE SAUCE BY USING 2 CUPS OF FRANKS RED HOT AND MIXED WITH A LITTLE OVER 2/3 CUP MELTED BUTTER - FOR THOSE NOT ABLE TO FIND THE FRANKS WING SAUCE

How To Make buffalo chicken sandwich

  • Step 1
Whisk the dressing into the wing sauce and pour over the chicken.
  • Step 2
Place chicken pieces in the bottom of crock pot. Pour sauce over chicken. Turn pot to low and cook for 6 - 8 hours.
  • Step 3
Once chicken is tender, remove from pot and pull apart with 2 forks. Return to sauce and keep warm until ready to serve.
  • Step 4
Dressing: I add all ingredients to food processor, except for half the blue cheese crumble, only because I like mine a little chunky. Pulse about 10 times. Serve a dollop atop the chicken on the bun. Enjoy! More photo's later, when served.
