Sharonne hit it out of the ballpark with this delicious Buffalo grilled cheese. It has just enough heat from the wing sauce and juiciness from the chicken. Of course, it wouldn't be a grilled cheese without the gooeyness from the cheese. The buttered Italian bread gives it a nice crunch too. More, please! The Test Kitchen
1/2 lbgrilled chicken, cubed
2 sliceprovolone or mozzarella cheese
1/2 cFrank's Red Hot Wing Sauce
2 sliceOroweat Italian bread
1 mediumonion, diced
1-2 dash(es)garlic pepper
1-2 dash(es)garlic powder
·butter, room temperature
How to Make Buffalo Chicken Grilled Onions and Cheese Sandwich
- For the perfect grilled cheese sandwich, make sure your butter and cheese are at room temperature. The butter spreads easier on the bread and the cheese melts just heavenly!
- Heat a skillet on medium and add grilled chicken cubes and diced onions. Season to taste with the garlic pepper and powder. I use pre-cooked grilled chicken breast cubes from Tyson or John Boule. When chicken and onion mixture is warmed through add the Franks Red Hot Wing Sauce. Add as much or little as you want! Reduce heat to low and let simmer.
