This is one casserole my family really enjoys, plus it's so easy to prepare.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. - ground beef
  • 1. 25 oz. - packet taco seasoning
  • 1 (15 oz.) - can tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup - chopped green bell pepper
  • 1-1/2 cups - macaroni, cooked and drained
  • 1 cup - (4 ounces) shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • 3/4 cup - sour cream

How To Make taco twist

  • Step 1
    In a skillet, brown the ground beef, and then drain off any excess grease.
  • Step 2
    Return cooked beef to the skillet.
  • Step 3
    Stir in the taco seasoning mix, the tomato sauce, and the green peppers.
  • Step 4
    Keep stirring the meat mixture while bringing this to a boil.
  • Step 5
    Once the taco meat mixture comes to a boil, then remove skillet from the heat.
  • Step 6
    Combine together, the macaroni, 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese, the and sour cream.
  • Step 7
    Place macaroni mixture on bottom of one 2-1/2 to 3 quart casserole baking dish.
  • Step 8
    Top macaroni mixture with the meat mixture.
  • Step 9
    Sprinkle on the remaining shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Step 10
    Cover, and bake for 30 minutes in a 350 degree oven.
