One day I wanted a quick throw-together supper that wouldn't dirty up every dish in the house. Therefore, I selected yummy ingredients, and I cooked it all in one deep skillet. My husband raved about it, and he insisted that I write down the recipe before I forgot it.

    (12 oz) angel hair pasta
  • 1/2 c
    sour cream
  • 1 c
    grated cheese (cook's choice)
  • ·
    water

How to Make Special One Dish Pasta

Step-by-Step

  1. Brown the ground beef in the olive oil, preferably in a nonstick skillet.
  2. As the meat becomes brown, add the chopped onion.
  3. Then, add the garlic when the onion becomes translucent.
  4. Stir in the can or jar of prepared spaghetti sauce. Fill 1/2 the jar/can with water, and add to the sauce.
  5. Add the can of diced tomatoes, including the juice.
  6. Stir in the Italian seasoning, salt and pepper.
  7. Break the angel hair pasta into 3-4” pieces. Stir the pasta into the sauce.
  8. Bring the pasta/sauce mixture to a boil, then simmer, covered, for ten minutes. Stir occasionally, and add more water if needed.
  9. Test the pasta. If it is done, then stir in the sour cream.
  10. Cover the pan once again, and let it sit 5 minutes for the flavors to meld together in the dish.
  11. Serve portions in pasta bowls. Top each serving with grated cheese.
