spaghetti and sausage pie
I double this recipe and also mix ahead and cook the next day. Fun way to serve spaghetti.

Ingredients
- - 5 oz spaghetti
- - 2 beaten eggs / separate
- - cup of cottage cheese
- - 1 lb of italian sausage
- - 1cup fresh mushrooms
- - medium chopped onion
- - green pepper chopped
- - 8 oz can of pizza sauce
- - shredded mozzarella cheese
- - 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
How To Make spaghetti and sausage pie

Step 1Cook spaghetti and drain. Rinse with cold water. For the spaghetti crust, combine one egg, parmesan cheese and 1 tablespoon of butter. Add spaghetti and toss to coat. Grease a 9 inch deep pie plate and press spaghetti in bottom and up the sides of plate to form a crust. Mix a beaten egg, cottage cheese and salt and pepper. Spread over spaghetti crust.

Step 2Cook the sausage, mushrooms, onion, and green pepper until Brown and veggies are tender. Drain off grease. Return to skillet and stir in pizza sauce and cook till heated through. Spoon over cottage cheese mixture.

Step 3Cover loosely with foil. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes. Remove foil and spread with mozzarella cheese and continue in oven for approximately 5 minutes uncovered. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving. Cut into wedges.
